Here is the photograph I took a year ago at the Port of Brisbane (see the note in the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper below).

Thats a nice photo, though I was wondering could you have used Macro setting and got in a bit closer or did you want to show the surrounding reeds as a backdrop. Must be a really tiny bird this one :)

These birds are very small (about 17cm) and difficult to see most of the time as they perch in the reeds and grasses at the edge of the water.
I couldn't get any closer than this and I was using a 500mm tele.Also, I was inside the restaurant and had to take it through the glass window. Lucky to have got anything usable at all.
