Wherever there are people fishing, there will be birds looking for a free feed of either bait, or any small fish that are thrown back in.
This pelican stayed close to the boad-walk all day and was occasionally rewarded with a fish.

The very wet weather seems to have brought these harmless little critters down from the trees and into the flower beds.
This one was very nervous and kept flicking its forked tongue out (too fast for me to get a photo unfortunately). As soon as it sensed us it moved off into the undergrowth.
