This monster is doing battle with the environment. The river and tides are eroding the beach and river banks. The Noosa Council is trying to combat the forces of nature by pumping sand. Who is winning? Not the tax payers, that's for sure.

The diners can be seen as shaddowy figures reflected in the glass fish tank. The contrast between the relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant and the hoplessness of the imprisoned fish caught my attention. I wouldn't have the heart to eat them even although I am a keen fisherman. It's just not sporting.

Sitting on a Norfolk Island pine where there was a nest from the last mating season. Its partner was engaged in some nest renovation and was flying in with twigs and bits of sea weed.

These strange looking peaks were named the Glasshouse Mountains by the explorer Captain James Cook because they looked like the glasshouses in use in England at that time.
