More Rainbow Lorikeets at dusk. They are flying very very fast (at least 80km/hour) and are like squadrons of jet fighters. They nearly all fly in pairs. The red on the underside of their wings catches the glow of the setting sun.

Hundreds of thousands of these beautiful Lorikeets fly to the the trees lining the riverbank each evening. The trees are well lit by the the street lights, and the lights of the shops. The noise in the early evening is deafening, but this spectacular phenomenon is largely ignored by the local people.
